Rosy beeA small family run company specializing in producing quality bee friendly plants at affordable prices. Buy 10 large bee friendly plug plants mail order from as little as £12 FlowerscapesRun by Steve and Karin Alton and specialize in selling pollinator friendly annual meadow mixes. The mixes are great for creating swathes of colour as annual meadows but also great for pots and filling in spaces in your borders. LBKA is using these mixes in some of our forage creation projects in London's Parks. British Wild Flower PlantsHighly popular mail order wild flower company. Used nationwide by conservation professionals and gardeners alike. The largest UK company to sell native wild flowers with the widest ranges of British native flowers available. They also sell seed mixes for creating wild flower meadows. The plug plant and pot range are ideal for creating a forage patch in your garden. PrimrosePrimrose sell a bee friendly range available by mail order Friends of the EarthFOtE gave out 18,000 free packets of seeds in 2012, all supplied by Habit Aid. These seeds have all been handed out, but there are others to buy from the FOtE online shop. The seeds come with an RHS perfect for pollinators kite mark. Pictoral meadowsSuppliers of annual and perennial seed mixes. This company provided the seed mixes for use in the 2012 Olympic park and have been responsible for a recent upsurge in garden meadow style plantings. NatureScapesSuppliers of UK native seeds including annual and perennial meadow mixes. More suited for Native meadow style plantings. We recently used them for our Oval forage habitat creation project. Meadow in My Garden by Nova-FloreSells a range of beautiful annual and perennial seed mixes suitable for garden planting. Their ranges include a bee mixture as well as a Butterfly mixture. A seed mix for every occasion. Sarah Raven SeedsFamed Gardening TV presenter and campaigner for bees and butterflies Sarah's website sells a wide variety of bee friendly seed packages. Habit Aid: Delivering Biodiversity in BritainThis is Habit Aid's online shop, where you will find mostly trees, plants and seeds, sourced from small British nurseries. They donate half of our profits from sales through the shop to UK conservation charities, with whom they also work to develop other products. The site is an Aladdin's cave. Within the trees' section, for example, you will find heritage fruit trees, exotic trees for bees, and native British trees. In plants and seeds there are native British wildflowers and British wildflower and grass seed mixes, wildflower selections and bulbs. |
